Low-Profile Helmet Installation
The Sena 50R mounts to the outside of the helmet using either a heavy-duty clamp or adhesive surface mount. Its slim, low-profile design uses a split-wire system, with the external unit mointed close to the helmet shell while the wiring routes neatly inside through a weather-resistant rubber grommet.

Choosing and Installing the Microphone
The Sena 50R includes three microphone options to suit different helmet styles:
Wired Boom Microphone — Modular/Flip-Up Helmets: Mount the hook-and-loop pad inside the helmet and position the flexible boom along the cheek area so the microphone sits directly in front of your mouth.
Wired Microphone — Full-Face Helmets: Attach the compact microphone to the inside of the chin guard using the supplied adhesive pad.
Boom Microphone — Open-Face Helmets: Mounts to the clamp bracket and curves around the lower edge of the helmet shell for proper positioning near the mouth.
